The Role Of The Clergy In Abortion

The clergy can try to catch flies with honey, ie, they can act pastorally and gently preach and suggest that abortion is evil. Of course, the word,"abortion", is not used. The theme is that the civil rights of the unborn are being violated, but this relegates abortion to the same level as, say, firing someone because of his/her race, sex, or religion. Putting abortion on the same level as any other civil right violation is to bury one's head in the sand so as not to offend the offender. This method will simply now work with everyone.

There is nothing wrong with this approach in itself...unless it is the only method used. More forceful methods must also be used: Defining abortion as murder, evil, and against the will of God are examples, but these examples should not include unjust violence.
